Instructions for Meditation
Find yourself a quiet corner where you can be undisturbed for your meditation corner or room. Light a small light or some incense if you like it, turn off the cell phone and so forth.Play like some soft music.
Focus on your breath, it must be deep, calm and rhythmic breaths. Right down to the diaphragm in the beginning. Try this breathing when you are stressed out and see what happens. Most people breathe using only the upper parts of the lungs. Many respiratory diseases, heart and lungs could be prevented if we only learned how important breathing is.
Soften the neck, back and arms before the actual meditation. Sit comfortably and straight, either on the floor or on a chair. It is important that it is comfortable. Decide how long to sit, 10 to 15 minutes is about right the first time. One can also meditate lying down, but then there is a risk that you fall asleep. Set a watch that alerts you when the time elapsed or a music piece that is in a certain length.
Come back soft, stretch a bit on you, wiggle the neck. It's nice to come back soft. As you feel more at home and used to meditate in order to increase the time gradually.
Another suggestion is to try to keep a crystal in each hand, with the tips directed inwards, toward you. Experiment and find what suits you best. Take it like a habit to always write down thoughts and feelings that emerged during the meditation. Later on, it's interesting to read about your progress.
